Hirji completed a BTEC National Certificate in Civil Engineering Studies at Newham Community College, followed by a BTEC Higher National Certificate in Civil Engineering Studies at the University of East London.
He began his career as a Junior Civil Engineering Technician at Waterman Partnership Ltd where he laid the foundation for his expertise in civil engineering. He then advanced to the role of Structural Engineering Technician at Curtins Consulting.
As a Senior CAD Technician at Perega (formerly Thomasons LLP), focusing on CAD management, strategy, and quality control, ensuring projects met high industry standards.
In 2008, he joined MBP as a Senior Structural Technician, where he is responsible for producing general arrangement plans and detailed designs for various construction materials, including steel, masonry, timber, and reinforced concrete frames. He primarily utilized AutoCAD and Revit Structure, working on projects aligned with BIM Level 1 and some up to BIM Level 2, while also conducting building surveys.
